NFT marketplace OpenSea is now facing three separate lawsuits against the owners of the BAYC NFT. Among them, Timmy McKimmy from Texas and Michael Valise from New York claim that their boredom BAYC NFT was lost in a social engineering attack due to an OpenSea security breach.

Relevant lawyers said that the victim’s NFT was not listed for sale on OpenSea, but OpenSea would require NFT holders to connect their wallets.

Everyone can see what NFTs are in the wallet and can make offers for unlisted NFTs, the hacker cracks the code and accepts the offer on behalf of the victim before selling the Boring Ape NFT to someone else, another victim, Robert Armijo Lost BAYC #4329 and MAYC #1819 and #7713 on other platforms. So far, OpenSea did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
